That is very sad.. Liverpool had led from a first-half goal by Dirk Kuyt but An own goal in injury time from substitute John Arne Riise left Liverpool stunned and Chelsea dreaming of Moscow as the game ended all square at 1-1.
The Reds have never scored at the home of Chelsea under Benitez, but they know they must do so now to salvage this semi-final. Benitez said: ‘Yes, I realise we have not scored a goal at Chelsea in the Champions League over the past four seasons. But there is always a first time.
But I believe Liverpool can handle it and complete the task in the second leg. Because “You’ll Never Walk Alone”.
